The Imants® Root Pruner prunes encroaching roots into the water and nutrient rich turf root zone, stopping root encroachment in vital areas i.e. greens, collars, tee’s and surrounds, preventing the loss of valuable water and nutrients allowing for healthy uniformed paying surfaces. The action of the blades that prune the roots minimises surface damage to the fine turf surfaces as shown.

The root pruner uses a unique, triple reduction, planetary gearbox. The action of this gear box allows the smooth transfer of the tractor’s P.T.O torque to the drive rotor shaft and the root pruner blades cutting the encroaching tree roots. The action of the root pruning blades is self-sharpening requiring minimal maintenance.
